本種は中国のサツマイモから記載された。日本ではこれまで本州で夏～秋にアキノノゲシから多く採集されているが、アサガオからも得られている。

This species was described from Ipomoea batatas of China. In Japan, many individuals are collected from leaves of Lactuca indica from Summer to Autumn although it is also collected from Ipomoea nil.
